Elevate Beyond Barriers is a structured entrepreneurship experience designed for women, newcomers, and underrepresented founders across Atlantic Canada.

It was created in response to a pattern many founders experience but struggle to navigate alone.

Many participants come in with ideas, skills, and ambition but without clear pathways, access to mentorship, or confidence in how to move forward. They are often navigating unfamiliar systems, making decisions without guidance, and building in isolation.

Even when support exists, it can feel fragmented. Workshops lack continuity. Information does not translate into direction. Environments are not always built with their realities in mind.

Elevate Beyond Barriers provides a more connected and guided experience.
Through structured programming, facilitation, mentorship, and community, participants gain clearer direction, stronger decision-making, and access to the people and opportunities that support their growth.

Meet the Founder

Patience Kanu

Founder, Elevate Beyond Barriers

Patience Kanu is a feminist entrepreneur and educator focused on improving how women and newcomers navigate entrepreneurship in Atlantic Canada.

Her work is shaped by lived experience as an immigrant founder, combined with direct work supporting entrepreneurs who are often building without clear guidance, access, or support.

She has seen how often capable founders are left navigating fragmented systems, making decisions in isolation, and trying to move forward without the structure needed to do so with confidence.

Through Elevate Beyond Barriers, she leads a more guided approach to entrepreneurship. She facilitates programming, supports founders as they develop their ideas, and connects them to opportunities, networks, and stakeholders that support their growth.
